From March 2007 to July 2008, LeYa acquired seven Portuguese media companies including: Grupo Texto Editores, Edições Asa II, Editorial Caminho, Edições Gailivro, Editora Nova Gaia, Dom Quixote and Grupo Oficina do Livro.
Together these companies make LeYa the largest editorial group in Portugal, Angola and Mozambique. LeYa’s goal for the company is to become the largest editorial group in the Portuguese language and in all of the Portuguese speaking countries.
